Aurora Vibra

Meaningful WinWing vibration driven by live MSFS telemetry

About the project

Aurora Vibra turns WinWing vibration motors into a useful feedback channel. It reads SimConnect, L:Vars and SDK data areas, so effects follow the aircraft’s actual state rather than a cockpit switch position.

The project supports both default aircraft and complex add-ons, including PMDG 737/777, Leonardo MADDOG X and TFDi MD-11. Each aircraft type can have its own profile, and every effect can be routed to the stick, throttle or both devices.

Aurora Vibra is free and open source under the MIT License. It is an independent community project derived from Rodrigo Troncoso’s ursa-minor-ffb; RU_PMDG provides this showcase and links to the official repository without replacing the author or source.

What already works

  • Native telemetry for complex add-ons — PMDG 737/777, MADDOG X and TFDi MD-11 without delayed effects
  • Taxi and rollout physics — individual pavement joints blend smoothly into dense rumble as speed rises
  • Independent gear struts — main-gear and nose-gear contact feel like two distinct events
  • Per-device routing — send every effect to the stick, throttle or both devices
  • Detailed engine start — N2 spool-up, fuel introduction and logic for up to four engines
  • Automatic profiles — aircraft detection and separate saved settings for every type

Requirements

  • 64-bit Windows 10 or 11
  • Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 or 2024
  • Vibration/FFB-capable controls; WinWing sticks and throttles are the primary target
  • No administrator rights or Program Files installation required
