Following the immensely popular 146 Professional, the Just Flight development team has created a highly accurate simulation of the latest British airliner, the RJ Professional, for MSFS 2020 and MSFS 2024. RJ Professional offers four variants of the RJ family: the RJ70, RJ85, and RJ100, as well as the proposed RJ100 QT Freighter variant. Each variant is fully customized and developed based on extensive field research using the real RJ-100 SE-RJI aircraft. 35 high-quality liveries represent the vast number of RJ operators worldwide. The RJ was developed in the 1980s and 1990s and first flew in 1992. The primary goal of the RJ was to replace the 146 regional jets, many of which still flew with an analog cockpit, without sophisticated autopilots or navigation systems. This, coupled with the emergence of newer, more modern regional jets from other manufacturers, meant that airlines were finding it difficult to operate the 146 in today's aviation environment, necessitating a new aircraft. The result of these efforts was the RJ, a glass-cockpit passenger jet equipped with an EFIS (Electronic Flight Instrument System), PED (Primary Engine Display), FADEC (Full Authority Digital Engine Control), and FMS (Flight Management System)—a leap in capability over the 146 generation.
